Is this what most women think?

Was scanning the internet this morning and came across something a celebrity said. Her boyfriend had proposed to her and she told the media

"I said yes. Of course I did. I had found myself a man that most girls search for their entire lives... I would do anything for this guy,"

I'm in a bit of a shock. My value systems and her value systems are so different. I can't believe we're both women, born about 2 years apart in the same city.

That people evaluate a life partner this way. That you commit your life to someone whom YOU think OTHER people want. Look at the way she phrases it "I had found myself a man that MOST GIRLS SEARCH FOR THEIR ENTIRE LIVES"

I'm like... er.... so this is a man that other women want. And that is the reason why you want him?!?! Er. How about what YOU want?

For me, I just want who I want. For whatever reason I want him for. Nobody else needs to want him. In fact I think probably better if nobody else wants him. Less stress! :-)

Isn't it strange, the way this celebrity thinks?
