This made me think. A lot. About desperation.
Is it simply a state of mind? Can one overcome it if one is resilient? How do we defend ourselves from people or an environment that subjects us to desperation?
What types of desperation are there?
Financial Desperation
Emotional Desperation
Psychological Desperation
Physical Desperation
Someone remarked that the Korean bar hostess could have been driven to financial desperation and hence lost her life to 18 glasses of hard liquor at a price of $900 Singapore dollars.
And it made me think what kind of desperation have I personally experienced to a point where I put myself in danger?
