Choosing a life partner is one interesting process isn't it?
And the end result sometimes even more interesting.
So many factors, so many variables, so many choices (for some) :)
Having never been married, all I can say is observing the happy marriages around, the couples all seem to have some things in common.
There's friendship. Husband and wife GENUINELY like each others' company. They make each other laugh, they make each other smile. Sometimes they may be of a different faith. Like how one of my Christian friends calls her husband a godless heathen... But they have a commonality, they are friends. There's loyalty to each other. A kind of 义气. A brother hood of sorts. I cant really explain it in English very well. But loyalty probably describes it well. A common cause.
Something to think about.

I agree.. I value loyalty/faithfulness in relationships/friendships more than anything else.. even if that person cannot connect to you as well.. i'd value this friendship above those who can.. cos at the end of the day.. loyalty/faithfulness/willingness to go the extra mile and to sacrifice is wat separates acquaintances from friends..
